Hooray, we have the keys to our new house!!
Our realtor, Erica, came by with a bottle of Champagne, then we walked up the street to see our neighbor who had the keys to the house. Once we opened the door, we saw that the seller had left a little bit of a mess for us to clean up, but we attacked it with a few trash bags (sorry recycling!) and some cleaning supplies. Once we swept it out, it looked and felt a lot better. Among my favorite leave-behinds:
* Two cans of pumpkin-pie filling;
* Two cans of pineapple juice;
* A stack of records (looks like 70's era funk);
* Several random buckets.
We had to come home and drink some tequila to calm ourselves down. Tony's folks came over with MORE Champagne, which we drank with a pizza. All in all, a delightful evening.
The real fun starts tomorrow when Tony has to spend almost the entire day at the Tree House meeting with contractors so that we can get bids on the bathroom remodel and refinishing the floors.
