Hello Tree House fans, we got some great news tonight! We have been selected to participate in a way-cool pilot program through the City of Portland called "Clean Energy Works Portland." The basic premise is that the city is using federal stimulus (ARRA) money to invest in weatherization of 500 homes in Portland, and we get to pay the costs back over time on our utility bills. The beauty is that our net won't change that much - the energy efficiency saved from insulating the house, for example, will create savings that we will use to pay back the loan.
Portland is applying for a grant to expand this program broadly throughout the Metro area and even around Oregon. For more information, see www.cleanenergyworksportland.org. More to follow! :)
Wow! That is way cool! But even cooler is your use of the acronym in your headline! We will be interested to hear how you are going to insulate, and do you get to have the giant sucker attached to the front door? (If so, you'd better nail your wee self to the floor - your shoes, not your feet)
ReplyDeleteAnd on behalf of all the Tree House Fans...
