As a Master Recycler, Metro employee, and overall sustainability nerd, I went to the store today to by some Metro Paint. This is 100% post-consumer recycled latex paint, made from paint that folks bring in to Metro's household hazardous waste drop-off facility here in Portland. Metro's paint recycling facility then blends them together to make ten or so colors of new paint! We used it tonight and coated the pink bedroom. It's not technically low-VOC, but it is fairly low since while sitting in everyone's basements, the paint ofgasses and by the time it gets recycled, it's pretty non-smelly. We are eating pizza now in the AC, a day of work done.
